Our community is a unique community, you can learn more about us by reading our Charter (click the "Bylaws/Charter" Link on our home page). Membership requirements are clearly defined below:
Individuals that are interested in joining the Phoenix-Gaming community and being a part of FTA are required to post a request in the Forum titled "Interested in Joining FTA?" In that request, tell us a little about yourself such as how long you have been playing Call of Duty and what your other gaming interests are, if you have them. Tell us what State or what Country you are from, how old you are, and maybe something about you that you feel comfortable telling us so long as there is no personally identifying information about you in that post.
Skill is not necessarily a factor for membership here, rather, the person you are and what else you may contribute to our community are stronger qualification factors. No member or prospective member of Phoenix-Gaming is required to donate to the cost of maintaining servers, hence the term donate rather than dues. Donating toward the cost of maintaining servers does not grant extra consideration, privilege or status.
Here are our few prerequisites:
- You must participate for at least sixty days from the date of your post in the Forum, this will allow us to get to know you better and you will have the chance to better know most all of us. You may obtain membership sooner if a standing member wishes to sponsor you and presents you to the membership at a Community Meeting.
- You must be at least 16 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age you should let your parents know that you are interested in joining Phoenix-Gaming and let them view our web site, visit our Forums and listen in on TeamSpeak so they are comfortable with what you are doing online.
- You must actively participate on TeamSpeak (TS) and on our Server. This needs to be done on a regular basis (at least a few times each week). We understand absence due to school, different work schedules, or other circumstances so if you are not on very often we will understand. We strongly encourage those in school to commit as much time to their studies and their school activities over gaming here at Phoenix-Gaming!
It may seem like a long time to wait for membership, however, as you get to know us you will begin to form gaming friendships and the time will pass more quickly. You are also invited to attend our Community Meetings and listen in on how things are done here in a democratic manner, where every member has a voice and vote in how things are done and in the direction our community takes. Thanks for considering our community as your home!
